Allocation year: 2025 Total allocation: 1.1 af/ac (sum of 0.6 + 0.5) Sustainable Yield: 0.6 af/ac (no pricing - only annual SGMA Land-Based Charge applies) Transition Allocation: 0.5 af/ac (no pricing - only annual SGMA Land-Based Charge applies) Allocations began in 2022 during an 8-year transition period that reduces the total by 0.1 af/ac annually until reaching 0.6 af/ac (sustainable yield only) by 2030, with post-2030 options including aquifer-specific allocations (0.6 af/ac split 40% upper/60% lower aquifer) or non-aquifer specific (0.45 af/ac). Participation requires annual applications by January 15th with mandatory telemetry metering on all wells, carryover water is permitted for up to 5 years before 10% annual losses apply, and pumping restrictions are triggered based on groundwater level classifications (Green/Yellow/Red zones) determined by the Board through monthly meetings where SGMA matters are discussed.
