1. One-Year Grant Extension Pending — Project Completion Could Move to December 2027 The Department of Conservation has verbally indicated support for a one-year extension of the Round 2 grant agreement. If finalized, the extension would move the overall grant deadline to approximately March 31, 2028, and priority project completion deadlines from December 2026 to December 2027. The district aims to execute the paperwork before the end of 2026. The additional time would help address contracting delays experienced by Westlands and other Round 2 grantees.
