The Ad Hoc Rate Setting Committee is nearing completion of its work, with a final committee meeting scheduled for May 28, 2026. A draft Cost of Service Report has been posted online and will be reviewed by the committee. Staff presented updated rate projections: the delivered water charge will average a 5% annual increase over five years, the augmentation charge inside the delivered water zone averages ~3.6%/year, and outside the zone ~4.8%/year. The board may be asked at an upcoming meeting (potentially June) to adopt a resolution initiating the formal Prop 218 notice and hearing process, with an anticipated effective date of December 1.
