1. Turnback Water Available as Emergency Pool — Act Fast If You Need It Approximately 819 acre-feet of Class 1 water was turned back at the September 1 deadline. Rather than prorating this small volume across all eligible acres (which would yield only ~0.05 AF/acre), the board approved creating an emergency pool. Growers who have exhausted their allocation can purchase turnback water at the standard rate plus $25. If requests exceed supply, water will be prorated among requestors. District staff indicated an email notification would go out to growers — watch for it for details if you need additional water.
