Class 2 Water Allocation Approved for Immediate Use The board approved an allocation of 0.3 acre-feet per acre at $55 per acre-foot for recharge and/or direct irrigation purposes through the end of February 2026. This allocation includes 15% Class 2 water from the Bureau of Reclamation (10% available from January 1st and an additional 5% that must be used by end of January). Growers on the Lower Tule system must complete deliveries by end of January, while other areas have until end of February. Water ordering begins immediately with deliveries starting Thursday. The district emphasized this Class 2 allocation is critical for securing next year's Class 1 supply by preventing flood releases and reducing encroachment in February.
