Water Rate Increases Taking Effect March 1st The Water Authority's rate increase proposal had previously moved forward after the protest period ended without sufficient opposition. Out of the roughly 1,500 or so eligible connections across all four agencies, about 200 protests were received in total, far below the 50 percent plus one threshold needed to block the increase. Millview will see a 15% increase, with the average household using 7,000-9,000 gallons per month experiencing approximately a $7 monthly increase. This is the first rate adjustment since 2011, and the district adopted a resolution combining its existing two-part usage rate into a single uniform water usage rate structure to simplify billing.
