1. Affected CVP deliveries are projected to end around October 27. Staff had expected the affected deliveries to continue until about November 7–8. They said Friant staff accommodating Arvin-Edison now puts the projected end around October 27—11–12 days earlier. Staff warned that the change could affect irrigators during hot weather. Growers relying on these deliveries should check their schedules with their water providers.
2. Possible reservoir release calls could interrupt fall channel maintenance. Staff have told water users to be prepared to take water if controlled releases are called for, though the timing is uncertain. Crews may need to leave channels if releases begin. Staff also plan to use outside contractors for some maintenance while district crews focus on projects with approaching grant and FEMA deadlines.
