1. Groundwater Storage Remains Positive, but Recovery Is Uneven Across the Subbasin The annual report for Water Year 2024-25 shows continued positive groundwater storage gains from spring 2024 to spring 2025, following last year's large increase of over 180,000 acre-feet. However, some wells — particularly along the western boundary of the subbasin — have not recovered as quickly from the 2020-2022 drought lows and remain closer to their minimum thresholds. None of the 48 representative monitoring wells have fallen below minimum thresholds, and most are near their 2042 measurable objectives.
