The 2026 State Water Project Table A allocation stands at 30%. However, the state side of San Luis Reservoir is nearly full (~1.05 million acre-feet of a 1.06 MAF cap) and is projected to fill by the first or second week of March. Once it spills, Article 21 surplus water may become available to contractors—but that same spill event will begin eroding Article 56 carryover storage. Staff is actively working on programs to help participants protect carryover water from being lost to spill. Participants and customers relying on State Water Project supplies should stay alert for updates on Article 21 availability and any carryover protection opportunities.
