1. Metered Pumping Data Collection Proposed to Shift to January 1, 2027 Staff recommended — and board members discussed — extending the start date for collecting metered pumping data from September 2026 to January 1, 2027. Of the 105 active wells requiring flow meters, only 23 have AMI endpoints installed and just 11 are fully operational. The extra four months would allow staff to resolve technical compatibility issues between the various meter brands and the district's AMI system and billing platform (Beacon). Metered data collected during calendar year 2027 would then be used to calculate fees for fiscal year 2028–2029.
