A new ASO (Airborne Snow Observatory) flight showed only 41,000 acre-feet of snowpack remaining, and peak runoff has already passed — arriving roughly two months earlier than normal. Staff estimates the water year will land around 51% if no additional inflow materializes, with outside forecasts ranging up to 68%. The Kaweah Sub-watershed Association will meet Thursday to determine a release start date and schedule for the irrigation season.
