Spring 2026 monitoring shows groundwater levels have been stable or increased 3–5 feet compared to spring 2025, with recovery trends dating back to 2022. The cone of depression on the east side is shrinking, and TID's recharge operations — particularly at Turlock Lake — along with recent wet years and East Turlock GSA programs beginning to take effect are credited with reversing over a decade of decline. The Groundwater Sustainability Plan implementation is ahead of schedule, with the anticipated "hockey stick" turnaround arriving two years early.
