The board voted on a new meter policy that would require flow meters on all wells pumping more than two acre-feet. The policy included installation deadlines (October 1, 2026 for B/C zone wells; October 1, 2027 for A zone shallow wells), a ±3% accuracy standard, five-year calibration cycles, and a 5% surcharge on estimated pumping for non-compliant wells. However, Director Nebs voted no citing concerns about document quality/cleanliness and accountability, and the motion failed. Expect a revised, cleaner version to return at the June meeting.
