1. Mandatory Well Registration Policy Approved — Affects Agricultural & Industrial Well Owners The board approved a new mandatory well registration policy. Growers who fail to register their wells will lose access to water allocations and management tools (e.g., water dashboards). Currently only 264 of an estimated 1,700 wells (~28%) are registered. The policy applies to all wells except destroyed and decommissioned ones, and enforcement of "good standing" requirements targets agricultural and industrial wells specifically. There are no hard late fees at this time — the loss of allocations and tools is considered sufficient incentive.
