1. Board adopts AI policy The board unanimously approved a policy governing AI use for agency business. It prohibits entering non-public agency data into unapproved tools and autonomous AI control of operational technology, and it requires human review of AI outputs. The board added a requirement that AI tools used by agency staff or directors for agency purposes be procured by the agency. The policy also applies to contractors, consultants, and vendors using agency data for agency business; receiving water service alone does not place a customer under the policy.
