1. Potential Class 2 Water Allocation Expected in January/February
Lake Millerton is projected to end the water year at 400,000-420,000 acre feet, significantly above the flood control curve of approximately 300,000 acre feet. The Bureau of Reclamation is expected to declare a Class 2 allocation, likely in the 3-5% range (approximately 1,500 acre feet for PID), to reduce reservoir levels. The district strongly prefers this allocation come sooner rather than later to allow for strategic planning and recharge operations during January-February timeframe.
