1. DWR Sets Aside Prop 4 Funding for Small GSAs The Executive Director reported that coalition efforts helped persuade the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to set aside $3.5 million for small groundwater sustainability agencies under the upcoming Prop 4 SGMA grant program. Grant guidelines are still being developed. The agency is working with DWR on a possible block grant and considering a role for Regional Government Services, seeking to reduce administrative costs and make more funding available to small GSAs. No grant award to the agency was announced.
