Well Registration and Metering Deadline Approaching The March 31st deadline for agricultural well registration and meter installation is rapidly approaching. The GSA is ramping up outreach efforts, including direct mailings to approximately 400-500 well owners in early February. If growers don't install meters by the deadline, they will be charged using the highest crop factor estimates (the maximum rate possible) until meters are operational. The county rebate program is still available for meter installations, and the district will install transmitters for remote monitoring. Staff emphasized that even if the deadline is missed, growers should still proceed with installation to minimize estimated charges.
