Department of Water Resources (DWR) Transition and GSP Review Process Begins The Kern County Subbasin held a presentation meeting with DWR on February 3rd to overview the substantially changed 2025 Kern County Subbasin GSP. DWR staff noted this is "a completely different plan" from previous versions and opened a 75-day public comment period starting February 4th. While DWR has up to two years for review, they indicated this process will be more interactive than 2020-2021 and expressed hope it won't take the full two years. The district plans to check in with DWR within 6-8 months if no feedback is received earlier.
