1. Groundwater Model Update Contract Approved for the Entire Sub-Basin The board approved a contract with Luhdorff & Scalmanini for approximately $190,000 to update the groundwater model with the last 3–4 years of hydrology data, including the significant 2023 flood year. The model will be recalibrated for both subsidence and water levels. El Rico GSA's share is roughly 31% of the cost under the sub-basin memorandum of understanding. This work was described as something the GSAs think they need to do for SGMA going forward.
