1. Valley Water is developing its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) — demand projections and water supply planning for the next 25 years are being developed now, using the adopted WSMP 2050 demand model. Valley Water is using demand projections from its recently adopted Water Supply Master Plan (WSMP) 2050 to build the UWMP, which is due to the Department of Water Resources (DWR) by July 1, 2026. The plan covers supply reliability under normal, single dry year, and five consecutive dry year scenarios. A draft will be available for public review in May 2026 with a public hearing for adoption in June — this is a key window for stakeholders, including agricultural interests, to weigh in on countywide water planning.
