Average groundwater depth across the district went from 69.56 feet (June 2025) to 70.54 feet (June 2026), a drop of just under one foot. However, staff stated the west side showed a much larger decline over the same period. Staff noted the district remains on its SGMA "glide path" for now, but consecutive dry-runoff years could threaten compliance. Kings River runoff is at just 52% of average this year.
