1. Water Supply Agreement Reached with Western Hills Water District After years of negotiation, the Board approved a new water supply agreement with Western Hills Water District, replacing and terminating a prior 2000 contract. Under the new deal, Western Hills will have options for additional State Water Project water up to 1,000 acre-feet (subject to SWP allocation) in exchange for an option fee of $50,000 per year for each of those five years. Critically, the 8,000 acre-foot obligation the agency held under the old contract is now canceled, and 4,791 acre-feet of water banked by Western Hills will transfer to the agency.
