1. Water delivery season winding down — canal shutdowns beginning late July/early August. The Stine Canal is expected to begin shutting down around July 26, the Farmers Canal and its laterals around July 28, and the Buena Vista Canal is targeted to run through approximately August 10. June was one of the highest revenue months for water sales on record, with 37,676 acre-feet of utility water plus 4,200 acre-feet of state water diverted. Growers should plan irrigation schedules accordingly as the summer run concludes.
