Supplemental Well No. 3 Project Successfully Bid Under Budget The agency received six competitive bids for the Supplemental Well No. 3 improvement project after getting zero bids in the first round. Pacific Infrastructure submitted the lowest bid at $1,636,600—approximately $447,000 below the engineer's estimate of $2,083,000. The committee recommended the board approve awarding the contract. This well historically produced over 1,000 acre-feet annually and will help transition pumping away from coastal areas further inland, reducing pressure on the coastal aquifer.
