1. Water Shortage Emergency in Ione Service Area Officially Terminated The Board unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-09, rescinding the water shortage emergency declared in January 2024 for the Ione Water Treatment Plant (IWTP) service area. The Agency discussed having secured financial funding to proceed with the IWTP capital improvement projects aimed at bringing the IWTP to its permitted capacity, with reliable peak production improvements targeted by late 2027. New water service connections in the Ione area may now proceed subject to applicants' compliance with the Agency's existing water conservation requirements; though conditional will-serve letters may still apply for larger projects pending completion of the infrastructure upgrades.
