New Well 46 Drilling Contract Awarded — Future Water Supply Expansion in Palm Oasis The board unanimously approved a $1,397,783 contract to Southwest Pump and Drilling Inc. for drilling Well 46 in the Palm Oasis area. Existing wells in the area can produce 3,000–4,000 gallons per minute, though they are typically equipped to pump around 1,300 gpm based on system demand. This is the drilling phase only; a separate future project will cover equipping the well with pumps, motors, electrical, and Edison service. Customers and stakeholders in the Palm Oasis and base zones should note this well is intended to improve supply resiliency and operational flexibility in those areas.
