Proposition 218 Election Passes Overwhelmingly — Special Benefit Assessment Approved The Prop 218 election for the McMullin Flood Capture Expansion Project passed with 80.46% of weighted acres voting yes and 19.54% voting no. Out of approximately 600 ballots sent, 200 valid ballots were received representing roughly 77,000 acres (about 62,000 acres yes, 15,000 acres no). This means the special benefit assessment to fund the ~$56 million expansion project is now approved, and the board will move forward with implementation actions at an adjourned/continued meeting on June 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
