1. Mandatory Well Registration Deadline Set for July 1st The Board approved a firm deadline of July 1st for all landowners to register their wells to maintain "good standing" status with the GSA. Currently, only 146 wells are registered out of an estimated 2,000 wells in the Greater Kaweah area. Landowners who fail to register by this deadline will have their accounts locked, preventing water transfers, carryovers, and other account activities. This enforcement of existing policy is critical for subsidence management and understanding groundwater conditions across the basin.
