1. TBID Will Shut Down November 1 for New Canal Connection — Back Online February 1 As part of the pumping plant project, TBID plans to shut down on November 1 so the contractor can tie the district fully into the new canal. The connection from the new intake box to TBID's pumping plant will be completed during the winter shutdown (November–mid-January), and the district expects to be back online and officially drawing from the new canal by February 1. A new traveling water screen is also being installed, though delivery timing may push its completion into spring.
