Jenny Lind Water System A-B Transmission Pipeline Accepted as Complete The board voted 5-0 to accept the completed project, which constructed about 20,000 feet of 12-inch and 14-inch ductile iron pipe between Tanks A and B in Rancho Calaveras (CIP No. 11088). The new transmission line reduces reliance on an older 8-inch asbestos cement pipe, which remains in service as a distribution main. With two pumps running, flow increased 24%, from 950 to 1,180 gallons per minute. Four new pressure-reducing stations have improved pressure management; staff said some households have seen pressure fall by about 50 psi. The original contract was $10,750,268, with approximately $768,000 in change orders. More than half of the change-order work concerned paving for Calaveras County; the county reimbursement amount had not been finalized.
