1. Chino Basin receives a conditional $103.7 million increase The Commission voted 5–0 to approve an additional supplemental funding determination of $103,723,300 for the Chino Basin Program, bringing its total conditional funding to about $372.8 million. The increase addresses inflation-related costs; it is not a final funding award. The project is designed to provide ecosystem pulse flows on the Feather River, groundwater-quality improvements through salt removal, and local water during emergencies. Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) said it and its local partners still face substantial costs not covered by state funding. IEUA expects enough information from its rate study by December 2026 to begin developing rates, with rate-setting steps continuing approximately from February through April 2027. It is also considering conducting its own Proposition 218 process. A final funding hearing is expected in fall 2027.
