1. Central Valley Project Water Allocation Increased to 70% for Municipal & Industrial Use Chief Aaron Baker announced that the Bureau of Reclamation raised the CVP agricultural allocation from 15% to 20% and the municipal & industrial (M&I) allocation from 65% to 70%, translating to approximately 7,500 additional acre-feet for Valley Water. However, statewide snowpack remains significantly below average despite near-average rainfall, and the south-of-Delta CVP community is working with Reclamation to modernize the allocation methodology for better-informed water management decisions. Staff confirmed that Valley Water's groundwater levels remain healthy and water supply is sufficient for this year.
