1. All Available MLRP Funding Is Committed to Four Pilot Projects in the DOC Pipeline The four projects in the pipeline for the California Department of Conservation (DOC) are: the Pasajero Phase 2 groundwater recharge project (~$4.5M, ~60 acres), the Los Gatos groundwater recharge pilot (~$1.6M, ~30 acres), the Westside Community Cooling and Resilience Center with solar/battery storage (~$200K, ~0.1 acres; packet still being finalized and not yet submitted), and the Section 21 Recharge project (~$400K, ~50 acres). Peter Maraccini reported that DOC approval on the full project portfolio is hoped for within one to two months, and the district is pursuing approximately a one-year extension on project completion timelines. Westlands expects DOC may be receptive to adjusting cost estimates if bidding delays cause price increases.
