1. Water Agency Rate Increases Discussed for Multiple Districts
General Manager Mark Hillebrand reported on rate study findings presented to four of the five water districts in the Ukiah Valley Water Authority, with substantial increases anticipated at those agencies. Redwood Valley is considering a 30% increase effective March 1st, followed by another 12% on July 1st. Proposition 218 notification letters are being prepared to go out to affected customers, and the Water Authority has the authority under the JPA agreement to set rate structures for member agencies.
