The Scott River dropped below minimum flows in late May, triggering full surface water curtailments on May 21. While flows briefly rebounded and some rights were moved to conditional curtailments requiring coordinated diversions, flows are declining again toward the minimum threshold. With virtually no snowpack remaining (2% of April 1 average statewide), board members raised concerns about potential earlier curtailments given critically low snowpack, and staff described ongoing outreach and close tracking of flows. Growers in the Scott Valley should stay in close contact with the watermaster and monitor curtailment notices.
