The Basin Remains Sustainable — No Changes to the Groundwater Plan The board received the public draft of the WMA GSP Five-Year Evaluation, which found that the basin remains sustainable with no undesirable results occurring during water years 2019–2024. Groundwater levels are above minimum thresholds, storage has increased relative to the 2015 baseline, and the GSA is on track to maintain sustainability through 2042. The board approved moving forward with the Five-Year Evaluation without amending the current Groundwater Sustainability Plan — meaning no GSP amendment is being pursued concurrently, and the board is not recommending changes to sustainable management criteria at this time.
