1. Groundwater Monitoring Well Network Expansion Moving Forward The Authority is progressing with plans to implement roughly six additional monitoring well projects across the basin to complete the 12-site network recommended in the Groundwater Sustainability Plan. Site selection is underway with 7 GSAs responding to requests for information, and projects are expected to begin construction in early 2026. These wells will address critical data gaps for water levels, water quality, interconnected surface waters, and groundwater-dependent ecosystems throughout the basin.
