1. Water allocations approved; drought pool water remains contingent The board approved allocating approximately 7,000 acre-feet of cushion-related water—about 6,000 acre-feet of cushion water and 1,000 acre-feet of other unallocated supplies—plus 1,000 acre-feet of system gain. Staff will use existing, unfulfilled allocation requests rather than require new applications. Growers who do not want the water will have seven days to notify the district. Staff expected the cushion-related and system gain water to reach accounts as early as the following week.
