Stream Gauge Installation Nearing Completion Under CalSIP Grant The district is completing installation of three stream gauges under a $250,000 DWR CalSIP grant (100% reimbursed). Deer Creek and Rooney gauges are substantially complete, with Mayon gauge installation in progress. The gauges will provide 15-minute interval data uploaded to DWR's public website by fall 2026. However, replacement costs if equipment is damaged or vandalized within the required 5-year operational period would fall to the district, prompting consideration of insurance coverage for the $10,000-15,000 equipment packages.
