1. SGMA Regulatory Fees Recalculated and Approved for FY 2026-27 — Ag Rates Set at $5.60/Cropped Acre After a methodology error was identified at the prior meeting, the fee was recalculated using the board's previously adopted 5-year outlook approach. The approved rates are: $16.58 base fee per parcel (Part 1), $5.60 per cropped acre for agriculture (Part 2, Group 1), and $1.26 per developed parcel for domestic users (Part 2, Group 2). Grazing and BankIT do not pay a Part 2 fee. Agriculture accounts for roughly 40% of total fee revenue. Note that cropped-acre data used is from 2024 (two-year lag from DWR data); growers who believe their acreage is incorrect can file an appeal for a credit on the next tax bill.
