Groundwater Sustainability Fee Approved at $22.90 Per Acre-Foot for FY 2026-27 The board adopted Resolution 2026-001, establishing a groundwater sustainability fee of $22.90 per acre-foot based on consumptive use data from the October 2024–September 2025 water year. Charges will be placed on the county property tax roll rather than direct-billed to landowners. The fee funds a roughly $1.095 million compliance budget that the board approved in March 2026. The vote was unanimous among those present (4 yes votes).
