1. State Water Project Allocation Remains at 10%, Increase Expected Soon
The current State Water Project allocation stands at 10%, but an increase is anticipated in the coming weeks due to recent precipitation. The Northern Sierra has received 32.8 inches of precipitation year-to-date (135% of average), primarily as rain rather than snow. However, snowpack remains concerning at only 52% of average in the Northern Sierra, 78% in Central, and 89% in Southern Sierra. Lake Oroville storage is strong at 2.74 million acre feet, well above average.
