1. Immediate Recharge Operations Beginning This Week
The district received a 10% Class 2 water allocation (18,600 acre-feet) from the Bureau of Reclamation due to high storage levels at Millerton Reservoir, which currently holds 392,000 acre-feet with the conservation pool at 419,000 acre-feet. Water deliveries for recharge will begin Thursday morning through the Air Canal system, starting with facility six-two and working downstream. This water is planned to be moved by the end of February to help avoid potential uncontrolled season releases, subject to future conditions and declarations.
