1. DMC Subsidence Correction Project Phase 1 Approved to Move Forward The Board authorized execution of a Construction Manager/General Contractor agreement with Kiewit for $200,000 in pre-construction services for Phase 1 of the DMC Subsidence Correction Project. This critical infrastructure project will raise canal sections by 2-4 feet in subsidence-affected areas. The Board also approved a $4.1 million advanced funding agreement with Westlands Water District to address cash flow needs, preventing an increase to water rates in FY27. Construction could begin as early as this spring following permit approvals and a guaranteed maximum price determination, with staff noting the possibility of bringing a task 1 GMP to the Board as early as April.
