1. Surface Water Deliveries Discussed Through September 30 The CID water run officially ended July 31, but the district has approximately 13,700 acre-feet remaining in Lone Tree storage. After reserving roughly 5,000 acre-feet for Exhibit C flows through year-end, about 8,700 acre-feet remains available for diversion. The board discussed a plan to continue running water at 50 CFS through the end of September, with the topic to be revisited at the September meeting. Staff noted the overtime cost for the extended run is relatively modest — ballparked around about $10,000 (rough estimate discussed) in additional labor — and emphasized that delivering water to growers who can use it is the most efficient form of recharge because it shuts off pumps and puts water underground.
