After years of effort, UVWA representatives reported that member agencies at the UVWA meeting were supportive of moving forward with contributing financially to the Mendocino County Inland Water and Power Commission (IWPC), which oversees Potter Valley Project issues, Lake Mendocino raising, and regional water security. Redwood Valley's proposed share discussed was $125,000 per year and costs are expected to continue increasing. Payments may be broken into quarterly or biannual installments. The IWPC's joint powers agreement (JPA) is expected to be amended/restated to accommodate expanded participation.
