The current Central Valley Project allocation stands at 25%. However, Westlands staff reported that Shasta Reservoir inflows are tracking approximately 100,000 acre-feet higher than the 90% exceedance forecast that supported the 25% allocation. General Manager Allison Febbo emphasized the district is advocating daily with the Bureau of Reclamation for an increase, stressing that with SGMA in place, additional water is needed through the remainder of the year—countering the historical assumption that growers don't need more water after June.
